Wolf Atelier

Up to 15 courses in a glass box on a 1922 swing railway bridge over the water, five minutes' walk from Centraal.

Wolf Atelier sits in a glass box on bridge 19S, a steel swing railway bridge that from 1922 carried freight trains from Centraal Station to the rail yard on Westerdokseiland. Bought by the city in 1996 with demolition planned, it was fixed open in 2000 and kept in 2001 after a neighbourhood campaign. The glass pavilion by Architekten Cie (Pi de Bruijn) opened as restaurant Open in 2008. Austrian-born Michael Wolf, formerly of Oud Sluis and Envy, took over in June 2015; since March 2026 he splits his time with his second restaurant, Amice. Set menus only: four or five courses at €72 or €82, also fully vegetarian, or 15 courses at €145. Gault&Millau gives it 14 out of 20 and calls it "precise and thoughtful". Lekker has listed it every year since 2022, though in 2026 it found the menu hardly changed. Guests come for the IJ view and the 15 courses, and warn of noise when full and evenings of up to four hours.

Guests report three and a half to four hours for the 15 courses, so book an early table. The room is up a stair from Westerdoksplein; drivers can park at Interparking IJDock.
