Fosfor
The very last pavilion on Zandvoort's south beach, reached on foot along the sand, with breakfast, lunch and dinner from a menu that changes monthly.
Fosfor is the very last pavilion on Zandvoort's south beach. Robert Hartog took it over in 2015, when it was still South Beach. The name is the local word for sea sparkle, plankton that makes the sea glow at night. It sits on the nudist beach; on the terrace and inside, bottoms or a sarong are required. Breakfast, lunch and dinner come from a menu that changes monthly and is not online. Anne de Buck of Your Little Black Book calls the food "incredibly diverse and, above all, incredibly delicious" and suggests looking out for deer in the dunes and seals in the sea. Guests say the food beats what they expect from a beach pavilion and often mention the burger. They also praise the friendly service and the sunset.
Fosfor closed for winter after 4 October 2026; this year's season opened on 28 March. Do not put Zuiderduin 7 into your satnav: park near Boulevard Paulus Loot 103 and walk south along the beach, sea on your right, to the very last pavilion.
