Beach Barn
A Zandvoort beach pavilion in its second season that opens at 08:30 with a bakery counter and ends the day on shellfish and turbot.
Beach Barn is a beach pavilion at Paulus Loot in Zandvoort, opened in spring 2025 by Tess de Vlieger and Tim Determann, a couple from Zandvoort, on the spot where Club Cabo used to be. 2026 is its second season, running from 2 March to 12 October; it closes for the winter. The day starts at 08:30 with a bakery counter; once the bakes are gone, they are gone. Lunch follows at 11:00; dinner from 17:00 brings schelpjes in white wine and garlic (€15), fried turbot with steamed cockles (€32.50), octopus from the barbecue with caponata (€24.50) and a 400-gram ribeye to share (€62). In 2025 Tess put the wine list at a hundred different wines; Tim has done the French Wine School. Columnist Mick Boskamp of De Zandvoortse Courant noted that the morning here is taken as seriously as lunch and dinner, and Barts Boekje called the schelpjes delicious. Guests describe it as relaxed and cosy, unlike the big beach clubs, while some mention slow or mixed service.
Open daily from 08:30 until 12 October 2026, then closed for the winter. The menu online is a sample; email info@beachbarn.nl for the current one.
