Murmur
Dinner from a different guest cook every weekend, then long DJ sets on a hand-built speaker system, at the back of a Hamerkwartier building.
Murmur is a small bar at the back of a building in the Hamerkwartier, and it turned four in July 2025. Your Little Black Book called it almost invisible from the street in 2024 and put it among the twelve best listening bars in Amsterdam in December 2025. The music comes through a hand-built speaker system. On Friday and Saturday, collectors and residents play long sets that start over dinner and run into the night; Girish has been a resident since day one, and Deboleena and Nessim play together once a quarter. There is no fixed cook or menu: a guest takes over the kitchen each week. On 16 and 17 October that is the collective lunar node, Osasu and Hadjja Fatmata, with a harvest menu of Caribbean, African and Mediterranean flavours. Weeknights bring concerts and listening sessions; in February and March there were also Thursday concerts for Sonic Acts Biennial 2026.
Book a Friday or Saturday table between 18:00 and 21:00 through the site: €10 per person upfront, refunded up to 24 hours before, and terrace tables on request. Arrive before 22:00 to skip the €5 door charge; 23 and 24 October are ticketed ADE nights with no dinner.
