Switie Poort (Deli Company)
Fifteen Surinamese sandwich fillings, from bakkeljauw to terie, plus roti and telo, at a Bijlmerplein counter that used to be Deli Company.
Switie Poort sells Surinamese food from Bijlmerplein 83 in the Amsterdamse Poort, the address that was Deli Company from at least 2013; the company behind Switie Poort was founded in 2022. There are fifteen Surinamese sandwiches at €6.95 to €8.50, from bakkeljauw (fried, flaked salt fish with onion, tomato and spices) and pom with chicken to zoutvlees, terie and chicken liver with gizzards, plus five vegetarian or vegan sandwiches at €5.95 to €6.50. For a full meal there is roti, with roti kip at €12.45, along with Javanese bami and nasi, Chinese bami with roast chicken, rijst pom and stuffed bara. The snacks include telo, bara, baka bana and lemper. Take away or eat in. Guests praise the sandwiches, and two recent reviews call the telo tough or hard.
