Sugar on sugar, but the shortest hype queue in town, so the math almost works.
The crookie arrived from Paris in the spring of 2024: a croissant baked with cookie dough inside and on top, invented for the camera and adopted by every feed in Europe. Lourens, run by a former pastry chef, became the Amsterdam address for it, and to be fair the base croissant is proper work. The thing itself is dessert squared, a sugar delivery system that no adult needs before noon. But the queue rarely passes fifteen minutes, which makes this the one hype where curiosity is affordable. Split one between two people, take it to the canal, and do not plan anything ambitious for the hour after.
