Le Smash

A solid smashburger with a professionally manufactured queue: eat it off-peak and skip the theatre.
Le Smash is the rare queue with a documented author: the founders hired a social agency to run their TikTok, and local press reported a reach of four and a half million people. The burger underneath the marketing is genuinely decent, halal, properly smashed, crisp edges, on a soft brioche, and the cheese fries do what cheese fries do. But knowing the line was engineered changes how long you should stand in it, and the answer is: not long. Go at five thirty or on a weekday, or hit the second branch on the De Clercqstraat. The burger is worth ten minutes. Nothing on a bun is worth forty.
