This is the queue over the bridge you have heard about: a tiny Berenstraat shop with about twelve seats, a dedicated crowd manager, and 18 million TikTok views doing the marketing. The surprise is that Chun deserves most of it. The Korean street toast, fluffy brioche around bulgogi rib eye, egg and yuzu mayo, is thoughtfully made, and the matcha comes from Uji farms and tastes like it. But a forty-five minute wait for a sandwich only makes sense on holiday. The move: come before 11, order takeaway, or walk to the Spuistraat branch where the same toast costs you fifteen minutes.
