Van Wonderen Stroopwafels

A 13 euro stroopwafel buried under Oreos is a photo, not a stroopwafel.

The strongest skip consensus in the city, and we agree with the internet for once. The Van Wonderen formula is a thin fresh stroopwafel dipped in chocolate and stacked with Oreo, Biscoff and marshmallows until the waffle itself gives up, at ten to fourteen euros and a queue that can pass an hour. Dutch television covered it with the word gruwen, which your dictionary will translate as shudder. A stroopwafel is a two-ingredient miracle: warm waffle, moving syrup. It needs a market stall, not a topping bar.
